Originally built in 1937 as a steel boxcar series #472000, for the Canadian National Railways. The
boxcar was converted into this caboose in December 1970 by CN in Point St. Charles, Montreal and
numbered CN 79419. In November of 1995 it was rebuilt and numbered CN 79901. It was last used in
Montreal Que. on the auxiliary train and renumbered CN 77021. Canadian National Railways sold it in
1999 to Calgary rail fan Bob Harper. It spent a short time on the Cape Breton and Central Nova Scotia
railway as a private car before being delivered to the Train Station Inn from Stellarton N.S. in 2000. The
caboose opened for accommodations in 2001.
