Originally built in 1937 as a steel boxcar for the Canadian National Railways. It was converted into this
caboose in January 1976 by CN in Point St. Charles Montreal and numbered CN 79815.  It was last
used in Halifax. Canadian National Railways sold it in November 1995 to Truro rail fan Andrew
Blackburn.  It was then delivered to (and purchased) by the Train Station Inn. The caboose opened for
accommodations in June of 1996. Mr. Blackburn has a private collection of 1 wooden Caboose, 1 steel
Caboose & a private Business Railcar in Truro which have been restored to their original condition.
